Sustainable development of archaeological site ancient villa Armira near Ivaylovgrad.

The main objective of this project is to develop competitive tourist attractions on the territory of the Municipality of Ivaylovgrad and to stimulate diversification of local and regional tourist products. Specific goals leading to the achievement of the main objective are: 1) Conservation, restoration and construction works for a complete socialization of the archaeological site of the ancient villa Armira in order to increase the functionality and attractiveness of the territory and to establish the site as a preferred tourist attraction, suitable for year-round visitation; 2) Increasing the tourist flow in order to support the development of local business in the field of tourism services. Investments planned for the project implementation are directed to conservation, restoration works and construction works, due to the specific nature of the site, namely the need to preserve cultural monuments. Contributing to the improvement of the overall tourism product will be the presentation and socialization of the site through the construction of an additional small-scale infrastructure to attract different groups of tourists. Investment activities for cultural monuments will be complemented by interpretive measures and information on the history, significance and development of the ancient Armira villa. Main activities for the project implementation: Activity 1. Perform conservation, restoration works and construction works related to socialization and exposure of antique villa Armira. Activity 2. Development and promotion of the tourist product. Activity 3. Organization and management of the project. Activity 4. Implementation of information and publicity measures. Activity 5. Project audit.
