DEVELOPMENT OF "MEMORIAL COMPLEX TUTRAKAN EPIC 1916"AND ITS ADJASCENT PUBLIC SPACES

The site "Military Tomb - 1916", located in the municipality of Tutrakan is a monument of national importance. The memorial is a cemetery park of the fallen soldiers of different nationalities during the Tutrakan epic in 1916 with memorial plaques and an obelisk. Since 2012, the municipality and the museum that manage it have been making efforts to expand and enrich the site, in an innovative way to improve the exposure of an extremely important and not very well known part of the history of Bulgaria. The focus of the project is a until recently little-considered historical period - the wars for national unification of Bulgaria. The main historical episode that will be covered is the battle for Tutrakan - the so-called Tutrakan epic. The project includes construction and furnishing of the building - purchase of equipment such as projectors, interactive tables and computer visualization, servers, and the adjacent hardware peripherals. Creation in the Tutrakan Memorial of a multimedia diorama - a high-tech cylindrical hall with a diameter of 18 meters and a height of 5 meters, equipped with a modular video wall with an area of ​​around 560 square meters of monitors and holographic projectors - diorama; 3D map of the combat activities and internet based information system with information for the general history, which will be the central tourist attraction of the memorial. Within the integrated tourist product will be paid a combined ticket to visit all sites managed by the Historical Museum - Tutrakan. The implementation of the project will establish an integrated tourist product, offering services to both passers-by and organized groups and tour operators. The product will provide attractions both in the modern exposition and in the field in the surroundings. It is planned to improve the tourist infrastructure, which now includes new technologies - virtual exhibits, integrated with the classical infrastructure of the famous museums in Bulgaria.
