"Conservation, exhibition and accessibility to the ancient and medieval church" St. Archangel Michael "- Rila"

The main objective of this project is to transform the ancient and medieval church "St. Archangel Michael" - Rila into a competitive, cultural tourist attraction, part of the tourist product on the territory of the municipality, attracting a significant number of visitors and improving the quality of tourist experience in the destination Rila . The specific objectives leading to the achievement of the main objective of the project are: - To support the establishment of a preferred tourist attraction offering suitable conditions for year-round visit through the conservation, restoration and display of all parts of the Church of St. Archangel Michael and the construction work for its socialization, conservation and accessibility; - To stimulate the interest of different groups of tourists by implementing measures for the development and promotion of the tourism product; - To support the development of local business in the field of tourism services by increasing the flow of tourists. Project activities include: Activity 1. Execution of conservation, restoration, display and accessibility of antique and medieval St. Archangel Michael Church in Rila. Activity 2. Delivery and installation of church furniture and equipment. Activity 3. Implementation of measures for development and advertising of the tourist product. Activity 4. Project organization and management. Activity 5. Implementation of information and publicity measures. Activity 6. Conducting a project audit.
