“Integrated project for tourism development and improvement of the cultural and historical infrastructure in Sliven Municipality”

In pursuance of the policy for the preservation,promotion and development of cultural heritage,the present project proposal for an integrated tourism product includes eligible measures and activities for sites-real cultural values with a category of national importance(State Cloth Factory/The Prison/First Bulgarian Textile Factory;house museums:Hadzhi Dimitar,Dobry Chintulov,Museum of popular customs in Sliven) and for other cultural and tourist sites(outdoor improvement between three sites of national importance category–House museum of Dobry Chintulov,Museum of popular customs in Sliven and State Cloth Factory/The Prison/First Bulgarian Textile Factory;Passenger cable car Sliven-Karandila;Tourist Cultural and Information Center(TCIC).Activities are planned for the physical renovation of the sites through construction and installation works, conservation and restoration works,outdoor improvement and landscaping,including the one of buildings and yards/adjacent spaces;for the restoration of the authentic historical appearance through the improvement of street and sidewalk surfaces in front of and around three sites of national importance category;for the construction of a TCIC in the building of SlivenMunicipality;for the improvement of the conditions of the Sliven-Karandila passenger cable car. The supply of equipment,furnishing and technologies necessary for the activity and the functions of the sites has been planned,as well as the realization of various digitalization activities. Within the envisaged scope,the present project will also increase and achieve a stable positive growth of tourism in the Municipality of Sliven. The current project aims to build on the project successfully implemented in the past programming period:Traveling through time,in time and with time-integrated project for the development of natural,cultural and historical attractions and tourist infrastructure in Sliven.
