The implementation of the Project anticipates the performance of rehabilitation of sections of national road II-29, passing through the territory of the region of Dobrich. The road provides the shortest connection between the Republic of Romania with the Bulgarian Black Sea coast‘s resorts and connects the town of Dobrich with the town of Varna and from there with the entire country. The needs of the population in North-Eastern Bulgaria, of the residents from the regions of Dobrich will be satisfied by the implementation of the project for rehabilitation of road ІІ-29. The main goal of the Project is the improvement and the modernization of the technical and operational characteristics of road II-29. The implementation of the Project will contribute to the improvement of: the mobility of the population within the region, the increase of the investments, the creation of new workplaces, the enhancement of the regional competitive power, the improvement of the condition of the environment through the reduction of the harmful emissions of greenhouse gases and greater possibilities of the local population for selection of health care and educational services. The main target groups under this Project are all users of the anticipated for rehabilitation road section in the regions of Varna and Dobrich, all the people travelling between the Republic of Romania and the Bulgarian Black Sea coast‘s resorts. The main activities set for the successful realization of the project are: Forming of the Project Management Team, that will manage and co-ordinate all activities and participants involved in realization of the investment proposal; Construction works; Supervision; Designer’s Supervision on the project; Project’s Audit; Information and publicity measures for the Project; Put the project into operation, implementation of all project’s activities, verification of expenditures and reporting of the results achieved.
