Lot 25 Road III-109 " І-1 - Melnik" from km 0+528 to km 12+815, with a total length of 12.287, Blagoevgrad region"

The main result to be achieved with the implementation of the project, is 12.287 km rehabilitated road section of road III 109. Improvment the transport and operational characteristics of the existing road section will provide traffic safety and comfort for tourists travelling to the city of Melnik and Rozhen Monastery, as well as for the population of Melnik, Spatovo, Hotovo and Lozenitsa, travelling to the municipal center Sandanski. By reducing greenhouse gas emissions and extending the operational life of the road, an improvement of the environment will be achieved. Also the quality of life and the work environment will be improved, business investments will be enhanced, better access to education and medical care will be provided, the development of tourism will be further encouraged, the accessibility to the TEN-T network of freight and travellers within the region will be improved. All this ensures the achievement of the objective of the current grant scheme. The main activities that are planned for the successful project implementation are: - Project management team will be established to coordinate all activities and participants in the project realization; - Selection of contractor for construction works, signing of contract and implementation of construction works for road rehabilitation; - Selection of contractor for supervision of construction works, signing of contract and implementation of the supervision services; - Providing Designer's supervision on the site; - Selection of contractor for implementing information and publicity measures, signing of contract and realization of information and publicity measures; - Selection of project auditor, signing of contract and performing the project's audit; - Putting the site into operation, Verification of costs and reporting of the results achieved.
