ICEBERG GROUP Ltd. is a market leader in providing industrial solutions for the agrifood industry. The main services and products the company is offering on the market are construction and installation services, refrigerators and refrigerating and drying installations. As a major problem in its further development ICEBERG GROUP Ltd. identified the seasonality of the business as this kind of solutions for the industry are mainly ordered through European funds which are irregular. The business of the agrifood manufacturers and producers of specific Bulgarian products and ingredients is seasonally oriented as well and their need of high cost refrigerating systems is temporary. The main objective of the current project is increasing the innovation potential and market competitiveness of ICEBERG GROUP Ltd. through implementing a product innovation "Mobile blast freezing", classified in the thematic area "Industry for healthy life and bio technologies" from the Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization. The main target groups of the innovation are agrifood industry enterprises that are producing specific Bulgarian products and ingredients and need seasonal services for blast freezing. The project will be delivered by purchasing a specific equipment for the implementation of this innovation and also by using different kinds of consultancy and supporting services for ensuring high quality of the implementation and also securing the intellectual property rights. With the execution of this project the company will realize on the market a sustainable and economically viable service which will increase its competitiveness and strengthen its market position.
