Introduction into production of an innovative cylinder head for petrol engine with unachieved combination of technical parameters based on unique alloy with very high elastic resistance

Montupet Ltd. was founded in 2005 with a certificate for first class investment of BAI and 100% ownership of the world leader in the manufacture of cylinder heads for automobile engines Montupet SA. Montupet Ltd. develops and manufactures cylinder heads for Mercedes, BMW, Renault, Nissan, Volvo, Audi, Ford and hired more than 840 people and tripled its investments in Rousse in the last 10 years. With this project the candidate will implement a product innovation - a world novelty: cylinder head for petrol engine with unachieved so far combination of endurance of the metal, unique shape of the head, small engine capacity (1.33l.), high power for the volume (117 Hp/L) in compliance with the highest current and future environmental standards Euro 6 and Euro 7, minimal size and weight of the head and minimal aluminum used for it. The cylinder head is a significantly improved product compared to the closest global analogues which surpasses them in five of seven most important features for a cylinder head. These product advantages will lead to market advantages for Montupet Ltd. and enhancement of the company's competitiveness through the sale of 600 000 innovative heads per year in the period 2018 - 2023. Only one activity will be realized in the project: 1. Acquisition of new equipment necessary for the introduction of the innovative product This activity will be implemented through the purchase of: - thermal furnace for aging/hardening of cylinder heads - 2 pieces - CNC machining center for processing cylinder heads - 2 pieces These machines will provide full technical feasibility of the project and complete the existing base of the enterprise, so as to ensure the overall capacity needed to start serial production of the cylinder head, which as part of a mechatronic unit with transport use falls entirely within IT "Mechatronics and clean technology "of ISIS.
