"Implementation of innovative product - healing caramel candy with a specific composition of essential oils and antimicrobial effect in the production of "Zaharni zavodi" AD

This current project proposal is aimed at implementing innovative product in the production of the candidate for which an application for utility model is submitted. The utility model is related to a specific composition of caramel candy with antimicrobial effect containing a complex of essential oils from six kinds of herbs - mint, eucalyptus, thyme, wormwood, fennel and sage. The innovation is claiming novelty on the European market. The current project proposal falls within the thematic area "Industry for a healthy life and biotechnology", direction "Personal medicine, diagnostics and individual therapy, medical and pharmaceutical forms and means" as well as direction "Methods for clean production, storage, processing and supplying the end user of specific Bulgarian ingredients, tools and products". Implementing the utility model of caramel candy with antimicrobial effect will increase the production capacity of the candidate by introducing into production an innovative product with significantly improved healing qualities and application. The candidate is unable to implement the innovative product in its production due to the high level of depreciation of the existing equipment, outdated technology as well as the lack of specific kind of production equipment. Therefore, the project envisages the purchase of machinery and equipment for the effective implementation of the production processes, storage and supplying the end user of healing caramel candy with a complex of essential oils and antimicrobial effect.
