Green economy and healthier babies

The overall concept of Ficosota Ltd is related to ensuring healthy life. We apply this concept in all our production units. Our products are constantly improved and produced with attention and care for the environment. We are the only producer of baby diapers in Bulgaria. They are sold under the brand Pufies and are well positioned on the market. Under the current project shall be implemented into regular production a new type of diaper, with new core – the X-core, developed by us. It has many functional advantages with significant effect on the healthy development of babies. This shall make us much more competitive – both nationally and worldwide, and shall enable us to increase the volume of sales with more than 50% for the next 5 years. The innovation of the diaper is mainly in introducing a new type of core with waved active surface making the diaper thinner and more convenient for the child, as well as providing bigger absorption area preventing leakage. Thus a significant ecological effect shall be achieved through decrease of the quantity of cellulose used for production of every piece of product, and the consequent other advantages – less non-recyclable garbage to be deposited, more efficient transportation saving CO2 emissions, etc. We have fully automated diaper production lines. However, they have been developed for production of diapers with traditional core. The innovative core, developed by us requires substitution of the module for this technological process with a new one, produced as per our specifications and allowing production of a diaper with new construction. Our product is a worldwide novelty which is confirmed by the research made in the Patent Office of Bulgaria and our analyses of the market and the competitors. By implementing this project we shall gain many competitive advantages which are key not only to remain at the market but also give opportunities for the future development and improvement of our products.
