Development of product innovation - silent wind powered turbine with a vertical axis

The main problem that wind turbines available at the market are facing is that they require a large working area as well as wide spacing of adjacent buildings due the high level of noise they produce. These problems make them inapplicable in urban conditions. By executing the current project "ILLY NOVA SOLITIONS" Ltd. will develop an innovative wind turbine (BEP), which is silent and will not harm the environment. As a result they can be used both for domestic and for industrial needs. The main objective of this project is to enhance the innovative capacity and competitiveness of the company through the development of product innovation, which falls within the thematic area "Mechatronics and clean technologies" of Innovation strategy for smart specialization. It will be performed by carrying out activities for tests and measurements and preparing the technical evaluation, economic evaluation and marketing strategy. The results of the project will be promoted through the application of visualization and publicity activities. As a result of the project we expect to develop innovative wind tubes called BEP which are fully functional and ready to be released on the market.
