Development of innovative , zero-discharge biotechnological process for obtaining inulin and fructo-oligosaccharides made ​​of artichoke for applications in medicine and nutrition

The subject of the present project proposal is the developing of an innovation product by Inotop Bio Ltd., who contributes for reaching the goals, which are set in one of the ISSS areas – Industry for healthy life and biotechnologies through the developing and implementation of innovation product – a method for clean producing, storing and processing of topinambur for obtaining the fructans of inulin and fructo-oligosaccharides. The company take place in the specified group of the procedure and needs funding of its innovation activities in order to reach competitive edge on the market. The present project has a goal to implement an innovational process, who take place in the priority area of ISSS – an industry for healthy life and biotechnologies. The realization of the project will help for increasing the share of scientific and research activities of Bulgarian companies. The results from the execution of the project help for increasing the experience and the knowledge for obtaining technologies for clean and resource efficient production in the food industry and the pharmaceutical industry. The results will be achieved through: 1) Studies and implementation of scientific researches for increasing the competitiveness of the company in the area of biotechnologies; 2) Increasing the innovational capacity of the company by developing of technologies for producing an innovation product; 3) Generating experience and knowledge, that contribute for obtaining more effective producing process; 4) Implementation of modern high tech equipment for the purposes of the scientific and research studies of the company. The objectives in the project are achieved by hiring a team of qualified specialists , introduction of modern high-tech equipment and obtaining consultancy services in support of the innovation.
