Development of product innovation – Virtual 3D simulator for training and assessment of marine navigators, ViMarS

With this project proposal applied to develop innovative product - Virtual 3D simulator for training, education and assessment of marine navigators (captain), ViMarS. Unlike common practice in simulators, ViMarS (Virtual Marine Simulator) uses the capabilities of computer-simulated 3D virtual environment. Startup Vimars Ltd. was founded by professionals in the field of computer technology, automation, ship transport and navigation, which have the capacity to implement and develop the latest technology to create a high-tech product, which is proposed to develop a virtual simulator. Its development will provide new competitive advantages and increase the added value of domestic products, according to Objective 1 Innovation Strategy for smart specialization of Bulgaria. The proposed development simulator falls within the priority theme "designing and manufacturing high-tech products and / or participation in supra-national production chain, incl. in the aerospace industry, "part of the thematic area Mechatronics and clean technologies, according to ISIS and is in line with regional specialization of the Northeast Region, which provide basic project implementation. Aim of the project is to develop an innovative product with potential for introduction in the economy. As a result of the project is expected to enhance the innovative capacity and competitiveness of Vimars LTD. The main activities aimed at achieving the project goal are activities for development of innovative products and services supporting its future marketing. All this makes the project consistent with the objectives of the Operational Programme and in particular, the specific objective and results of the investment priority 1.1 Priority 1 of OPIC. The project is in line with the horizontal policies enshrined in Art. 7 and art. 8 of Regulation (EU) № 1303/2013 of the European Parliament and the Council.
