Development of product innovation – “Optimized ship waste management system” - ECAP from " E-CAP" LTD

E-CAP Ltd. is a startup company founded in 2015 to develop an innovative expert system for process control in discharge of ship waste in compliance with environmental protection (ECAP - Environmental Compliance Assistance Program). With the current project the company is applying for the further development of the system and transform it into an effective tool to assist navigation officers in the process of planning and execution of the route of the ship, so to achieve compliance with the international requirements for environmental protection. The main necessity that will be satisfied through the implementation of the project is increasing the innovation capacity and competitiveness of the company by developing innovative product in accordance with the priority "Mechanical and Instrument Engineering, incl. parts, components and systems, focusing on transport and energy " in the thematic field of Mechatronics and clean technologies according to innovative system for smart specialization. The project is envisaged to be carried out mainly into the territory of Northwest Region. The project is directed entirely towards the development of eco-innovation. Aim of the project is to develop an innovative product with potential for implementing in the economy. As a result of the project is expected to enhance the innovative capacity and competitiveness of the E-CAP Ltd. The main activities direct to achieving the project goal are activities on developing innovative products and realization on the market. The current project includes the development of new technologies for application in entirely innovative product. The project implementation will provide new competitive advantages and increase the added value of domestic products. The project meets the objectives of the Operational Programme, in particular, the specific objective of the Investment Priority 1.1 Priority 1 of OPIC.
