Innovative LED lighting fixture with software control for greenhouses production

With the implementation of project activities the highly qualified team of startup enterprise "Light Smart" will develop a prototype of a broad innovative lighting fixture for greenhouse and biotechnological production with automated management, which is an innovation on a global level and within the scope of priority axis "bio-mechatronics" of thematic area of the Innovation strategy for intelligent specialization: "Mechatronics and Clean Technologies". The product innovation is a high-tech technical solution through which a controlled acceleration of the processes of development, growth and flowering of plants is achieved. With its main functional and technical characteristics the lighting fixture will provide precise control and regulation of spectral composition, periodicity and intensity of individual frequency bands and will allow the cultivation of various plants in different combinations of light energies and optimal stimulation of plants’ photosynthesis and photo morphogenesis. The company will develop a product with potential for consequential integration into a wide range of sectors, but with the main focus on manufacturing organic plant food and biotechnological production. Proposed development is an innovation on a global level that surpasses alternative solutions on the market. Planned project activities (carry out applied research, testing and measurement activities and creation of a prototype of the lighting fixture) will help the company to develop an innovative product ready for worldwide marketing. It will create prerequisites for rapid deployment of a unique product with applications in key sectors that will increase, overall competitiveness of the company and sustainable presence on the international and national market. The development of an innovative product , will allow a significant reduction of energy and water usage in greenhouse production and contribute to sustainable development by reducing the environmental impact.
