An innovative service transforms the house into “intelligent home” with a minor investment using powergrid . Using internet connection, each home electric appliance can be controlled by a system that learns from the consumer’s behavior and preferences. It takes decision about the most effective usage of electric power and sets it up in the appropriate working regime. The system allows to control his appliances using a mobile device. The service is provided to the households through a subscription fee, which will ensure steady incomes. The need: Decrease the households’ expenses for electricity and possibility for remote control of the home appliances. Target groups: Households Objectives: To provide a new service that transforms the house into “intelligent home”. We will help the households to minimize and control their electricity bills, using new technologies and our expertise. We will equip the consumer with a tool to manage and control his home. Expected outcomes: To build a successful prototype of a home controlling unit, that gathers data from the home appliances and maintains the communication with the central server. To have a developed controlling system, which analyses the information from the home appliances. Based on the statistics about consumers’ habits, the system will build models about the most effective working regimes, in order to save money and still meet the users’ requirements. The households can account the benefit from the service. Main activities: Development of software for analysis of the gathered consumers’ statistics with the aim of building of effective electricity consumption models by the project team. Development of software for providing of the internet service for users’ access and control of the smart home, by external provider. Prototyping of the controlling home unit by the project team. Testing of the communication between the system and the home unit and correct module integration, performed by the project team.
