Developing an advanced electronic system for automatic support of renewable energy production

During the current project proposal we will develop an innovative service belonging to the technological field of "Mechatronics and Clean Technologies" of the Innovation strategy for smart specialization of the Republic of Bulgaria. The innovative service will provide forecasting, monitoring and automatic control of renewable energy production. For the needs of developing the innovation, first we will hire domain experts, which will perform analysis of existing meteorological and energy production data, and will develop an automated method for meteorological and geographic prediction of renewable energy production. On this basis, we will a prototype of an advanced electronic system. During the activities of the project we will acquire a number of long-term material assets needed for developing, testing, measuring and verifying the separate modules of the system. All the assets will be localized in the city of Vratsa, Bulgaria, where we will rent a space for initial research and testing. After implementing and testing of the separate components of the developed innovation we will develop a demo version, which will be subjected to tests in order to finalize the product. To this end, we plan renting space part of existing operational renewable energy power plants, where team members to perform extensive tests. All activities related to developing, testing and implementing the prototype will be performed solely by team members. After procedures for finding a service provider, the project plan includes activities for targeted reinforcement of the market potential of the innovation, by means of developing a market analysis and an extensive marketing plan for market realization. Their existence will give an objective view over the condition of the market and will help defining approaches for increasing sales. During the planned activities we will comply to all requirements for visualization and information for the public.
