Development of an innovative and integrated physiotherapy/kinesiotherapy system "SoFit"

The present project is aimed at developing a product innovation at a global/European level - an innovative and integrated physiotherapy/ kinesiotherapy system "SoFit", which will be developed jointly by SCALE FOCUS AD (based in the city of Sofia) and the company's partner "Professor Doctor Asen Zlatarov " (based in the city of Burgas). This product innovation is an industrial research in the field of ICT and Informatics, direction “ICT Approaches in Medicine - Personal Medicine and Individual Therapy” by ISSS, which is set as a priority thematic field for the territory where the innovation will be developed - the city of Sofia (Southwestern region of Bulgaria). The innovative and integrated physiotherapy/kinesiotherapy system "SoFit" will cover the process determining individual schedule for physiotherapy / kinesiotherapy, the provision of the necessary hardware and software for the home therapy practice without direct therapist supervision to data storage and data follow-up analysis through an innovative software solution. The treating physician will enter set of exercises into the system, the way they should be performed and their intensity. These exercises will be personalized for the particular trauma, illness as well as the individual needs of the patient. The patients will be able to go home, switch on the system and then exercise their own personalized program remotely. If applicable, the patients could also comment the results with their treating physician. The treating physician will be able to track the recovery therapy of their patients as well as to enrich patient records automatically and to receive feedback on the results of the prescribed rehabilitation therapy. Thus the system will benefit not only the patient but also the treating physician, who will be able to improve the service they provide to their patients.
