Development of an integrated system for collection of data and urban environment management with public access "ISCOD"

The integrated system for collection of data and urban environment management with public access "ISCOD" aims to bring together administration, businesses and citizens in order to improve urban life. The system will be mainly directed to the road infrastructure sector, which includes not only the traffic but also all road and other facilities, part of the urban and non-urban environment. Road administrations worldwide are engaged in controlling, maintaining and improving the road network. In order to undertake repairs in due time, information on the road current state must be available. Road administration experts are required to periodically inspect the whole road infrastructure - a process that takes up time and human resources. The developed innovation at world-level is aimed at collecting this information through a mobile application that will be accessible not only to the employees from the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA), but also to the citizens – users of the road infrastructure. An option is provided to register the operational state of each object or facility at the road network and to enter information and create an archive containing all changes related to a specific object. The system will be based on GIS, and each object will be visualized on a digital vector map with its exact coordinates. The Business module will allow businesses to join the system of citizens and municipalities and thus the “Smart Cities” loop to be closed. The system will allow the so-called "Subscription" for all business organizations worldwide that are interested in tracking the state of the road network objects. At this stage, the company has a formulated technology concept that corresponds to TRL2, the industry scientific research will lead to the creation of the individual system components to be assembled into a prototype, a demo version of the system, in order to be tested in the relevant environment, corresponding to the Technology readiness level TRL6.
