MedXchange - a platform for rational medication therapy

The essence of this project is to develop an innovative online tool with an intuitive design to inform and verify drugs and drug interactions. This tool is an innovative technology platform based on IoT technologies that gathers, processes and provides information on the content, effect and interactions of different substances in medicinal and related products. It will explain what is the interaction, how it occurs, the level of significance and a suggested course of action. The system will interact with a database that will allow the end user to output information about the drug or other product, receive timely information on its interaction with other substances, activities or conditions, and will trigger alarms in the presence of potentially dangerous interactions.Checking for a drug interaction before it occurs can drastically lower the chance of a problem. The system will also inform about favorable drug interactions because some medications may be better absorbed if taken with food or may have favorable blood levels with other medications that affect metabolic enzymes. The innovative product includes the development of a mobile application to identify product data for medicinal products and related products. The application will be able to make an immediate link between the marketed item and its avalable information. The innovative product will be a helper in treatment. The system will allow the creation of a health profile as well as the integration of existing ones in which to preserve the medical and social history of each patient, chronologically reflecting examinations, assigned therapies, studies, reactions, etc. The application will contain a module that will inform about the most harmless way to neutralize medications that have expired or locate possible points for their handing over.
