"Vaptech" Ltd. is a leader and global provider of products, services and complete solutions for the metalworking industry, hydroelectric power plants and technologies for environmental protection. Within the framework of the present project, the applicant focuses on the development of worldwide product innovation falling within the Mechatronics and Clean Technology Direction of ISIS – high-speed press equipment, developed jointly by “Vaptech” Ltd. and the Institute of Robotics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The project envisions the conducting of industrial research to develop, test and measure the performance of components, along with the construction and demonstration of a prototype in an operating environment (TRL 7) with the main purpose of creating new technological know-how to be used in the development of the innovative product and required to validate high-speed metal forming technology that will be widely used in many sectors. The project will include the following activities: 1. Creating and testing a prototype related to the development of the product innovation. 2. Acquisition of tangible and intangible assets directly related to the processes of the innovation development. 3. Creating a highly qualified team of specialists for the development of the innovation, constituting of representatives of "Vaptech" Ltd. and the partner "Institute of Robotics" at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Expected results of the project include performed trails of an initial prototype model in an environment with simulated interfaces of existing systems, which will allow for future development of a final product.
