The overall project aim is: the development of product innovation (commodity) - a wind generator with a vertical axis of rotation type Savonius, which works efficiently at low air flow rates and is resistant to seismic phenomena - WEGA falling into Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization priority area "Mechanical and Instrument Engineering, incl. parts, components and systems, focusing on transport and energy" part of thematic area "Mechatronics and clean technologies" To achieve this objective within the scope of project "Development of Innovative Wind Generator WEGA - product innovation by PV Consult Ltd. and National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography - BAS" the following activities will be carried out: -Carrying out scientific studies, tests, measurements, aimed at defining a maximum resistant to seismic phenomena construction and optimal material composition of the wind generator; -Prototyping and testing in a relevant environment of the innovative wind generator with a vertical axis of rotation type Savonius - WEGA -Protection of the innovation as an object of industrial property at national and EU level -Project visualization and publicity The implementation of the aforementioned activities will lead to the following results for PV Consult Ltd: -established effective partnership between the Candidate - PV Consult Ltd and the Partner - NIGGG-BAS -developed a high-quality prototype of the innovative wind generator WEGA suitable for testing in relevant environment -organized and conducted testing of WEGA technology in a relevant highly seismic environment -increased capacity of the applicant in relation to developing innovative solutions for the RES sector -increased innovation and institutional capacity Taking into account the aforementioned positive effects this project proposal will serve as a key to enhancing the innovation capacity and the competitiveness of PV Consult Ltd on the Bulgarian and international markets.
