Research, Development and Innovation Aerospace Engineering Infrastructure

The aerospace sector provides exceptional opportunities for high-tech Ramp;D and innovative high value-added innovation across a wide range of international value, supply and manufacturing chains. Existing analyzes show that the space industry offers exceptional business development opportunities with a typical return on investment of 400% for an investment period of 5 years. There is extremely strong experience, capacity and potential for high-tech SME business in Bulgaria, but on the other hand, there is still lack of dedicated Ramp;Damp;I environment for the implementation of specialized activities in the field of space engineering and mechatronics, including the development and validation of engineering products-space components, systems and apparatus. The main objectives of the project are to support the creation and operation of such specialized industrial development infrastructure for cooperation of Bulgarian SMEs and Academia which are active in the field of space industr; the development of human resources; creation of innovations and development of engineering capacity and expertise for participation in high-tech,space engineering value and production chains. Our project is expected to significantly increase the expertise and competitiveness of SMEs in this field, by establishing of a development environment for creating innovative engineering solutions for space applications, including, complete systems-small spacecraft. ; to increase the qualification of SMEs personnel to perform Ramp;D and innovation activities, increase scientific production and intellectual property created by SMEs. The project activities are related to: 1) Increasing capacity for Ramp;D and innovation of the cluster-by the equipment of a specialized laboratory environment for shared industrial development; development of highly qualified Ramp;D staff; 2) business development; participation in specialized events; market positioning activities.
