IMPROVEMENT OF THE PRODUCTION CAPACITY OF BLOCK 2003 LTD

The project proposal aims to increase the competitiveness of BLOCK 2003 LTD - a small production company developing dynamically, with extensive experience and traditions in the manufacturing of laser cut metal parts. This equipment is the input resource for a number of MSE in the Machine building industry both in the country and abroad. The product list includes a wide range of products, produced by laser technology allowing flexibility and mobility of the activity as well as production of details of different complexity and nonlinearity of the configuration, thus offering complex and reliable product. Despite the good market positioning and the comparative advantages, the restrictions of the production process impede the policy for product innovation and maintenance of high and guaranteed quality. This is the main reason for unfavourable market position of the Company as well as it restricts its export capacities regarding entering new market segments; it impedes the Company to apply its experience and potential. The solutions of these problems requires the Company to invest in a new innovative equipment: CO2 Laser cutting system. The market situation as well as its established position are the challenges, forcing the Company to continue developing its current production activities. This will be achieved through the offered project activities, which will be favourable to overcome the restrictions faced in the current situation: Activity 1. Improvement of the production processes; Activity 2. Adding new product characteristics; Activity 3. Product diversification, Activity 4. Improvement of the resource efficiency and efficacy of the production process. The specific results expected by the end of the third year after the project implementation are: Achievement of internal rate of return - 15.30%, increasing of the productivity - 15.32%, change of average revenues generated from export - 47.97% and increasing of production cost efficienty - 16.14% .
