Technological improvement of the manufacturing process in METAKOM SCW INVEST JSC

METAKOM SCW INVEST JSC has a long-term experience in the production of castings from steel and cast iron. The Company's main statistical economic activity code is 24.52 - Steel Casting. The Steel Casting Works in Pleven was created in 1965 and has a substantial experience and is specialized in the production of steel castings. Shaped castings are produced by use of stationary sand moulding process. METAKOM SCW JSC produces a wide range of castings with an application in: Heavy-freight car manufacture, Road-building technics, Metal cutting machines, Ceramic industry, Press-forging equipment, Hydro power equipment, Drying aggregates, Gears and Couplings, Hoisting and hauling devices and others. METAKOM SCW INVEST JSC finds market for its production both in Bulgaria and abroad. The export is the main driving force for the company during the last two years. Some of the foreign customers are Metso Minerals- Finland; Buettner GmbH - Germany; Richter Formteile GmbH - Germany; Händle - Germany; Witur – Germany; MFAlbert - Austria; Renold – England. Major customers of the company in Bulgaria are Madara AD Shumen; Vaptsarov AD Pleven; ZMM Sliven AD; Apex OOD Plovdiv; Balkan AD Lovech; Unitech AD Troyan; Metalik AD Stara Zagora. In order to improve the production capacity of the company and its export potential it is intended with this project the purchase of new system for sand raclamation, two mixers and metal cutting machines. With these new production items the total production capacity of the company will be increased by 10% and the cost of unit per production will be reduced by minimum 5%. The new equipment will provide a better quality of the steel and cast iron. The project will contribute that the company's turnover increases by minimum 4% on an annual basis, and in the next 3 years after the implementation of the project activities the expected increase of the turnover to reach nearly 23%.
