Improving the production capacity of Tuna Denim Ltd.

Tuna Denim Ltd. is registered in 2006 in Momchilgrad. The company produces male and female denim jeans and the entire production for 2012, 2013, and 2014 was intended for export. Tuna Denim Ltd. has a contract with Inter-source Textile Ve Conf. San Ve Tidg Ltd., Tekirdaj, Turkey, who are the prime producer of Levi's jeans. As a sub contractor Tuna Denim is producing significant amount of the jeans for the European market for its textile partner in Turkey. The production capacity is 700 000 pcs. per year. All requirements of Levi's and European and Bulgarian legislation are strictly followed, guaranteeing safety and health labour procedures. The production equipment is entirely developed for the purpose of making jeans according to the standards. The scope of the project includes the purchase of different kinds of equipment, needed to increase the company's production capacity-Pontus machine, Overlocks , grapple mashine program stitching machines for sewing nuts and buttons, automatic single-needle machines, zig-zag stitching machine for making buttonhole, software system, plotter and digitizer, bantsing, p- shape machine, machine for production of breech hem, stitching machines , pressing mashine and steam generator . After completing the project activities the productivity is expected to increase by 16%, the cost of production will improve by around 16%, export will increase by 69% in the three years after completing the project. The new equipment will require the opening of at least five positions for service. With the new equipment will icnrease the production capacity and the total volume of export, it will improve the energy efficiency in relation to energy consumption per unit of production, it will improve resource efficiency and will improve the production quality.
