Increasing production capacity and productivity in Krama Ltd. by upgrading technological equipment

This project is a proposal for an initial investment to expand production capacity and strengthen the export potential of the enterprise. The project objectives are: - Increasing production capacity; - Increasing productivity through modernizing the existing technological equipment; - Increase the efficiency of production by introducing technologies that will reduce the amount of wood raw material used by 17% per unit of production. The main problems and constrains, which the enterprise will decide by the project are: - A limited production capacity and an inability to take orders with higher volume.  - Availability of obsolete equipment with a large share of manual labor, which leads to low productivity, errors and slow development. - Lack of equipment which can handle larger sized materials. - Lack of modern transport equipment for the precise order of the wooded planking in wood dryers. These will be achieved through the implementation of: - Activities for improving production processes and - Activities for the introducing of new technologies to improve resource efficiency and effectiveness in the production process. There will be purchased and put into operation five machines and equipment - one automatic double-sided planer, one straight line rip saw, one press for wood panels and one diesel forklift.
