Improving production capacity in “Betacom”Ltd

"Betacom" LTD was found in 1995, with main business in woodworking. Currently, the company produces furniture out of wood and MDF panels, mainly for foreign markets by fulfilling orders of partners from the Netherlands and Germany. For the last three years, the share of export earnings to net sales is over 75%. "Betacom" Ltd. operates in its own production facilities located on an area of 2100 square meters in Topolchane, Sliven Municipality. They are separated into sections for key process steps that are collateralized by the machinery and equipment. Some of the machines were bought second-hand and with an average age of over 15 years they are already significantly depreciated. With this project, the company's main objective is to increase its production capacity and export potential. The goals that the company has set will be achieved through the purchase of eight woodworking machines with better technological capabilities and performance compared to the currently used ones. Although in 2012 the company successfully completed a project for technological modernization of its production, the production process in the enterprise is dependent on the problems and limitations arising from the generally low level of the technology - outdated equipment with limited operational speed and capacity, inability to fulfill large orders in a short time high production costs and others. By implementing the project, "Betacom" LTD plans to increase its competitiveness by increasing productivity with 15,65% by the end of 2020. This would result in an increase of its average revenue generated by exports with 25,21% and improve the production costs by 16,66%. The final result of the investment will be improved production processes, increased production capacity and optimized production costs with guaranteed high quality production.
