Improving production capacity of "Newton Danube" Ltd. as a supplier of metal components for global leaders in machine building

“Newton Danube” Ltd. is an exclusively export-oriented metal processing company. By order of well-known industrial companies in Austria and Germany, the company manufactures components for trains, sewage treatment plants, sewage tanks, lighting of auto and railway tunnels, as well as lighting for other public infrastructure. The investment – subject of the project is milling and turning equipment of highest world class, which will significantly increase the quality, capacity and profitability of these main metal processing operations. The following activities will be implemented: 1.Manufacturing processes improvement; 2.Addition of new features or improvement of the existing products and services; 3.Introduction of new technologies to improve the resource effectiveness and efficiency of the manufacturing process. All activities will be performed by means of purchase and introduction into exploitation of the combination of the following assets: - A universal turning lathe; - A CNC turning lathe; - A vertical processing center; Implementation of the activities meant for execution within the frames of this project will lead to achievement of the project goals – increase in the production capacity and enhancement of the export potential, as it would also eliminate the fundamental technological barriers to the fast growth of “Newton Danube”. By investing in the deficient, non-automated, inefficient stages of the manufacturing process, the company will reconfirm its competitiveness at the European markets and will achieve the ability to fulfil an increasing number of export orders. This investment will have direct impact on the volume and quality of the fastest growing product group – components for solar LED lightening, used in public infrastructures. By this project Newton will expand its market position in four priority sub-themes of the thematic area Mechatronics and Clean Technologies of the Innovation Strategy for Intelligent Specialization.
