Increasing competitiveness and resource efficiency of Bulmeks Ltd

Bulmeks Ltd has been established in 2006. It’s main activity is related to mining, screening and washing of inert material; production of concrete and concrete products; services with building machinery. The concrete mixing plant, modernized with a specialized software system for automatic control, and screening installation are certified for a system of production control by the Institute of Mechanics - BAS and CE marking. Main products are various factions inert material; all classes concrete, concrete products - curbs, decorative finishes, paving, fencing concrete blocks and chimneys. The main challenges facing the company are related to the large increase in demand of our products in the local and regional market, and traditionally strong competition in the sector, and the willingness for introduction on new market niches. The latter requires constant modernization and expansion of the production facilities of the enterprise, full quality control and maintenance of competitive market prices. The main bottlenecks for the company are the outdated equipment and execution of part of production operations manually. That is the reason for the higher cost price of the products and also prevents the opportunities for increasing productivity and hampers the diversification of the product range of the company. The current project will help the enterprise to overcome the aforementioned bottlenecks, as new, modern, energy and resource effective equipment will be delivered, which will enhance product quality and reduce the cost, will automate the production process and will significantly increase the production capacity of the company. This will increase the competitiveness of the enterprise. The project duration is envisaged to be 18 months with a total budget of 600 000 BGN. The delivery of equipment will be implemented in accordance with Council of ministers Decree № 118/20.05.2014.
