The plant for abrasive tools "ZAI" AD was founded in 1962. In 2014 the plant increased production of resin-bonded products with over 38.7% compared to 2013, creating conditions for the increase in orders of ceramic discs and entered the market of resin-bonded products with OSA certificate. In 2015 the volume of products produced was maintained and the plant concentrated efforts in diversifying the customers and reducing the volume of customers with a very high share in sales. This created a demand of nearly 7 million of resin-bonded wheels annually and about 1/3 increase in demand for ceramic products. The rising orders for internal and external markets require the purchase of 2 presses for production of resin-bonded discs, a packaging machine and an electric oven. New sizes and types of ceramic discs; grinding discs, discs bakelite thin wheels will be introduced and the range of ceramic products will be complemented. With regards to exports, the aim is to keep all existing clients and to find new ones, by expanding the market of resin-bonded wheel traders and those of end users who put the products of "ZAI" AD in their production process. Successful implementation of the project will lead to a substantial increase in the volume of production in even more significant reduction of cost and quality improvement, which ultimately will establish stable and trusted relationship with all partners of the company. The increase in production will lead to the creation of new jobs, which is a big plus for the region of North-West Bulgaria. The implementation of the general and specific objectives will lead to the expansion of the activities of "ZAI" AD, increasing the competitiveness of the company in the domestic and foreign markets.
