Expanding the production capacity and export potential of SANNY Ltd to be introduced by new technologies to improve resource efficiency and effectiveness in the production process

Sanny Ltd was established back in 1990 in the town of Veliko Tarnovo, with field of activity - manufacturing and marketing of clothing. The Company starts its operations with tailored/custom-made orders of men's and ladies' trousers and suits. Due to the increased demand and interest in their clothing, the Company has increased the volume of production and has started making small series of clothing on 'cut, make amp; trim' principle (with materials, supplied by the client), successfully sold on the Bulgarian market. In 1995 the Company registered the “Paruchev” trade mark for the production of men's designer clothing and menswear. Following the recession in Bulgaria, the Company has successfully reorganized its production, which is presently oriented mainly for the needs of the European market. The Company's strategy is to pursue the increase of exports, as well as the share of individual orders, while minimizing the cost of production. This strategy will provide benefits for the company compared to the ready-made, low cost, mass production, imported from China. On the other hand it will compete with the 'elite' clothing, offered by European producers, characterized by high quality and custom-made, individual design, yet relatively expensive due to the higher costs of labour. Yet, while trying to implement this strategy, SANNY Ltd faces constraints such as inadequate availability of specialized equipment, high rate of manual labour in the fabrication of custom-made orders, lower productivity, refusals to inquiries for orders from customers as well as partners. The implementation of the present project is a step toward addressing the issues in production processes. Also provided within this project's implementation - it the investment in tangible assets - ironing equipment - to improve the production processes and contribute to increasing the share of exports in the total revenue of the company.
