Improving production capacity in „SIDI" Ltd.

SIDI Ltd. from the town of Varna was founded in 1992. The company specializes in the surface treatment and application of anti-corrosion coatings on metal, concrete, reinforced concrete structures, facilities, reservoirs, etc. (2008 NCEA code: 25.61). In its own production premises SIDI Ltd. manufactures the following products: metal structures, tanks for chemical and petroleum products, containers, steam and hot water boilers, steam and hot water pipes, heat exchangers and others. In the period 2012 – 2014 the demand for the metal structures and goods produced grew significantly and the maximum production capacity of the “Half-Finished Products” Section was reached. In this section the first process takes place, therefore all remaining processes are held back. The insufficient capacity of this section is identified as the main critical point in the process and as a hindrance to the continually increasing demand. In order to overcome these limitations, the present project envisages the purchase of modern and high-performance machines with which the capacity of the “Half-Finished Products” Section is expected to increase more than 3 times (from 220 thousand KG now to 700 thousand KG on the third year from the realization of the investment). The machines which the company plans to purchase are as follows: a CNC cutting machine with plasma unit, a numbering machine, and a CNC beam and profile drilling machine. Project activities include a procurement procedure (to be carried out in accordance with Decree of the Council of Ministers No. 118 from 20.05.2014), delivery, installation and commissioning of the machines. Total value of the investment is BGN 1,290,115.84, VAT excluded. Planned project duration is 18 months. The operations related to surface treatment and application of anti-corrosion coatings will not be affected by the realization of this project and therefore, the quantities in the business plan remain constant.
