Optimizing the production processes at Emi Style 08 Ltd.

Emi Style 08 Ltd produces formal women’s apparel and men’s trousers. Most of the company’s production is sold on the external market, mostly to clients in Germany, France, Italy and Denmark. In order to continue its successful development however, Emi Style 08 Ltd needs to overcome some basic limitations pursuant from the non-optimized production processes. The company is faced with the need to increase its capacity of ironing men’s trousers, to improve the cutting process, and to expand the product range by adding embroidered products. Therefore, the company plans to commission two types of automated ironing machines to reduce manual labour and enhance ironing capacity; 1 automatic cutting robot to enhance the precision in cutting and eliminate timely interruptions of the work processes; 3 embroidery machines which will allow the company to make embroideries on cut elements and ready products. Besides the increased production capacity, the company will save electricity in the cutting process and will reduce the scrap produced in ironing men’s trousers by up to 2% per year. As a result of the implementation of the project activities, Emi Style 08 Ltd is expected to increase its order receipt and fulfillment capacity, which will also have a positive effect on its financial indicators. It is expected that over the three years after the project’s completion the company will increase its productivity by an average of 17,35% as compared to 2014, to have 18,84% average increase in cost efficiency, and to have a 25,49% average increase in export revenues versus 2014.
