Increasing the export potential of „DIKO-IVAN DIKOLAKOV“ Inc.

The project activities are necessary mainly due to the increasing competition from manufacturers of plastic products from Asia. Due to the significantly lower costs, the Asian producers are able to offer lower prices to the end customers. Additionally there is a permanent pressure for higher wages coming from the employment market in Bulgaria. Thereby our other main problem is to always manage to offer adequate payment and appropriate work conditions in order to satisfy our employees and keep them long-term in the company. The company objective is to improve the labor efficiency and achieve higher productivity, which will allow sales increase and maintain a competitive cost of production. This can be achieved by automating the manufacture and by purchasing of new modern production machines. Thus, without reducing the number of employees, we will be able to produce a larger volume of goods and achieve a good profit. The activities are aimed at the realization of investments that will lead to the expansion and diversification of the production, which will create great potential for export; adding new features to the products; improving resource efficiency and effectiveness in the production process. The management of the company came to the conclusion that as a traditional manufacturer of its products it is appropriate to introduce a new, more productive technology. By the implementation the following objectives must be achieved: 1. Effective use of materials; 2. Expansion of the range in types and sizes and increase exports; 3. Improve the quality and cost reduction; 4. Reduce manual effort and increase labor productivity; 5. Improve competitiveness. The project activities provide the purchase of two high-tech machines of a new generation: 1. Fabrication Center - 1 2. Injection molding machine - 1
