Competitiveness of "FAT" Ltd.

FAT Ltd. is a leading Bulgarian manufacturer of sanitary products made of composite material: sinks for kitchen and bathroom colorful tubs shower trays decorative thresholds for the under shower space. The company has manufacturing and warehouse facility in Plovdiv and representation office in Varna, Bulgaria. The transportation of the finished products is made with 4 courtesy transport vans and the use of forwarding companies Ekont for Bulgaria and TSE for Romania. The main material that is used in the production is polymer marble – a mixture of following ingredients: marble powder (about 80%) and polyester resin. Cover of the products is transparent bathroom acid-proof gelcoat. The sinks of polymer marble have an extremely high resistance to treatment with strong chemical agents, are resistant to freezing temperatures up to minus 40 degrees Celsius, and have durability to dry heat up to 150 degrees Celsius. FAT product series for the kitchen are two - Polymermarble and Graniksit. A distinctive feature of the Graniksit series is the cover of the product in which in the sanitary acid-proof gelcoat is added a specific raw material-synthetic filler of new, high-tech class – granules with exceptional strength and great variety of colours. This project proposal is related to the purchase of Technological line for production of tooling equipment for the manufacture of sanitary products made of composite materials, which will achieve enhancement of production capacity and increase the export potential of the Company. The needed project activities are caused by the increasing competition in the industry sector, the increased customers’ requirements on the quality and the variety of colours, patterns, coatings, and low prices. Through the implementation of the new line a production of matrices and molds of closed type, which will increase productivity, reduce the weight of the composition and renovate the models.
