Expanding the production capacity to enhance the export prospects of “Christie-04” Ltd.

The company “Christie-04” Ltd. was established in 2004 in the town of Pleven. Following 11-year presence on the Bulgarian market, the company built a reputation of being a reliable partner and producer of high-quality clothing. The company sells 92% of its products in Bulgaria and just around 8% in the EU. In order to retain its positions on the Bulgarian market and gain new ones on export markets, “Christie-04” Ltd. needs to expand its production capacity. The company currently uses over 90% of its production capacities, which in case of more favourable market conditions would be insufficient to fulfill a bigger production programme aimed to meet market demand. In 2014 the company had a 31% growth in orders as compared to 2013, and this is not only a challenge for “Christie-04” Ltd., but also prevents meeting the company’s long-term strategic objectives, namely entering and reinforcing its market positions on the international market. Therefore, the main problem for the company at this stage is the lack of production capacity for adequately meeting the increased market demand. Following the possible implementation of this project proposal, the following results would be achieved: -modernization of the equipment; -increasing production capacity by 21%; -closing the production cycle; -more efficient and rational use of materials and raw materials in the production activity; -shortening production time; -diversifying the product range; -enhancing the quality of the products; -adequate and timely meeting of the needs of the company’s current and new clients; -reinforcing and conquering the new market positions on the Bulgarian and international market; In view of the positive effects described above, this project proposal will serve as the main instrument to ensure the company’s sustainable development on the Bulgarian and international markets.
