Improving production capacity in „Teda - MM" Ltd.

The company “TEDA - MM” Ltd. from the town of Botevgrad, Bulgaria, was founded in 2003. The company is the assignee of the company ET “Teda - EM”, which was founded in 1991. The primary business activity of the company since its creation in 1991 is the production of disposable plastic packaging. The company’s code of economic activity according to the National Classification of Economic Activities (NCEA 2008) is 22.22. “TEDA - MM” produces many different products – more than 300 types of packages which may be combined in the following groups according to their purpose: • Packs for the food industry. • Packages for other sectors of consumer goods manufacturing; • Packaging for the electronics sector. “TEDA - MM” has been continuously investing in new projects which have led to increase of the company’s production capacity in order to meet the ongoing increase in demand. In 2015 the company is planning to invest own funds in the amount of 880 000 BGN intended to increase capacity at “Foil extrusion” level. As a continuation of this policy, the present project focuses on the increase in capacity of the next in line technological process, “thermoforming of ready goods.” The project provides for the purchase of a new Three-Station Thermoforming Machine. The integration of the machine in the production process will bring about many positive results, such as increase in production capacity by 300 kg/hour and increase in average export revenues by more than 120%. Project activities include a procurement procedure (to be carried out in accordance with the procedure described in the Guidance on the Implementation of Grant Contracts financed under Operational Program “Innovations and Competitiveness” 2014 -2020), delivery, installation and commissioning of the line. Total value of the investment is BGN 1 222 393.75 VAT excluded. Planned project duration is 18 months.
