Improving the production capacity and the resource effectiveness of MEBELLUX AD, town of Sliven

MEBELLUX was established back in 1991 as a private limited liability company. Five years later, the enterprise was transformed into a Joint Stock Company and since 1997, it is a JSC company with 100% privately-owned capital. The Company is a successor of the factory "Targovsko obzavejdane/Commercial Equipment", established in 1969. The core business of the Company is the production of wide range of furniture: cabinet(-type) furniture/case furniture; doors, made of solid wood, plywood, MDF veneer, primed; upholstered seating furniture - sofas, armchairs, settees/couches, chairs; office furniture - made of chipboard and MDF; other custom-made products by individual design of the company's clients. As of today, MEBELLUX AD employs 43 people, as well as workers from the town of. Sliven and the region. At this stage of the Company's development, the main objectives of management are targeted at increasing production capacity and achieving process innovations to improve the main weaknesses in the manufacturing process - including the optimization of cut and trim operations on materials, cutting the plates of laminated chipboard, veneered MDF and individual component MDF /elements/, drilling, nutting and milling of details, as well as making bent and glued details. In order to achieve these targets, this project provides for the implementation of activities to improve production processes and introduce new technologies to increase resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness of operations. Investments in new equipment shall be made within the scope of these activities, to contribute in increasing the production capacity and product quality, reducing process waste, more efficient use of main raw materials, as well as the development of MEBELLUX's export potential. All investments, provided for in this project will be made to expand the capacity of the existing business establishment - the main production site of the Applicant in the town of Sliven.
