Improving the production capacity of Metron AD

METRON AD although in a market-leading position in the field of the furniture manufacturing, is experiencing difficulties in the sale of its products mainly due to the high competitiveness of the market; low labor productivity; depreciated equipment and higher cost of the manufactured furniture. The optimization of the production process will lead to economic benefits- creation of new jobs, improved productivity, reduced costs and enhanced competitiveness. The enhanced competitiveness will contribute to increase in the sales of the manufactured furniture on both the domestic and foreign market. In order to achieve this, the current project proposal has been elaborated, and it has the following main objectives: Improving the production capacity in Metron and strengthening the export potential of the enterprise. The implementation of the activities for enhancement of the production processes, addition of new features to the furniture, diversification of the products and implementation of new technologies will lead to higher productivity and resource efficiency, will speed up processes, will improve the quality of the furniture and lead to diversification of the product ranges. The planned activities will be implemented through the purchase of high-tech equipment. The implementation of the envisaged diversification of the product range with application to the recreation industry will contribute to the improvement of the types of active recreation and sport. By putting into operation the new equipment, the lumber wastage will be redused, the wood waste product will be reused and thus the usability of the timber products will be increased, which will reduce the deforestation. This will also contribute to environmental protection, and not least will mitigate the effects of climate change. As a whole, the implementation of the project will increase the competitiveness of the company, both on the domestic and foreign market and contribute to the sustainable development.
