Raising the production capacity and increasing the export potential of Daga Printing House Ltd. through installation of a machine for finishing processes and production of multi-layer labels

Daga Printing House Ltd. is established in 1997. Its main activity is the manufacture of labels for all industries. The implementation of this project will lead to realization of two main goals of the company set in its development strategy that coincide with the goals of the current procedure - expanding its production capacity and increasing its export potential. The printing house is going to achieve that by implementing simultaneously the following four types of activities: activities for improvement of the production process, activities for adding new characteristics and improvement of the products, activities for diversification of the range of products and activities for new technologies for improvement of the resource effectiveness and efficiency. This will be achieved through instalment of equipment for finishing processes after rotary printing - UV varnishing, hot-foil stamping, embossing, die cutting and production of multi-layer labels. The envisaged investment in equipment will expand the capacity of the existing economic unit through raising the quantity of the produced labels per hour which is actually the main activity of the company but it is also expected that the quality of the production would be higher. The new equipment will allow UV varnishing, embossing, screen printing and hot-foil stamping – an operation that is currently being performed by an obsolescent piece of equipment (produced in 1994). During the last years the managers of the company have received a lot of requests mainly by foreign companies about the production of the so called multi-layer labels, which is diversification of the production’s assortment. There are lots of advantages of the multilayer labels. That is why they are widly-spread out of Bulgaria but they are becoming more and more popular in Bulgaria too. The production of this type of labels is a serious step towards Printing House Daga's stable presence on the international market and its increasing export.
