Support for increasing the production capacity and improving the resource effectiveness and efficiency of Pirin Spring AD.

Pirin Spring AD has started its activity in 2002 as a limited liability company registered under the Commerce Act. In 2006 the legal status of the company has been changed and since then it operates as a shareholding establishment with 100% private capital. Its main activity includes the exploitation and bottling of natural mineral water, known to Bulgarian consumers under the trade mark “Pirin Spring”. The company owns a municipal water use concession for water boreholes № 273, located in the village of Banichan, Gotse Delchev Municipality. Through the realization of this project the company plans to implement activities for improving its production process and activities for introduction of new production technologies for optimizing the resource efficiency and effectiveness. Proposed actions include an investment in a new automated system for blowing PET bottles. It will allow the simultaneous production of one type of PET bottle with a volume of between 100 ml and 3 liters and one type of PET bottle with a volume of between 3 liters and 11.5 liters, providing a fully automated production process - from the pre-forms supply to the take out of the ready bottles used for bottling the mineral water. Proposed activities will provide for increasing the production capacity of Pirin Spring AD and enhancing the economic effectiveness of its activity through: - Increasing the productivity with 17,76 % for the first 3 years after the project completion in comparison with its rate in 2014; - Enhancing the effectiveness of the production costs with 17,30 % during the first 3 year period after the project completion in comparison with 2014; - Encouraging the export potential of Pirin Spring AD and increasing the share of export incomes with 25,95 % targeting the international markets in Ukraine, China and Greece.
