“OVO-BUL” SMLLC is one of the leading enterprises in the country in the production of pasteurized egg products, which are being realized on the Bulgarian and European market, placing a priority in the neighbouring European countries. Our product range includes egg mélange, yolk and eggwhite. Although with stable market positions, we face limitations hindering us from increasing our market share at national level and entering new foreign markets, namely: 1. Production capacity – the bottleneck in our production is the egg breaking machine which cannot fulfill the capacity of the next stage in the line, where egg white from yolk is separated or the egg mélange is mixed. This leads to two significant problems – on the one side, the idle time of the main machine is prolonged; on the other, we cannot reach the production volumes sought by our clients on a short order. Apart from the imbalance in the production process, the current egg breaking technology is reflected on the discarded volumes and the yield, respectively. As a result, the production costs per unit are high (we have to work on a three-shift schedule to complete our orders on time, we use more eggs per one liter of product), which reflects negatively on our financial results. 2. Quality – the “tube-in-tube” pasteurization technology we now have, causes the product to lose up to 14% of its protein content; thus, we cannot meet the demand of high-protein products, leaving us in a disadvantaged competitive market position. With the current project we will implement in our production a modern, high-yield breaking line, as well as a high-tech wave pasteurizer, which preserves 100% of the protein content and increasing the shelf life of the end products. This investment will allow us to strengthen our market positions, further expand our export potential and improve our financial and economic indicators.
