Improving the production process and increasing the capacity for bottling of spring (quiet) and naturally carbonated mineral water „Mihalkovo”

Mihalkovo AD extracts and bottles naturally carbonated mineral water from the spring in the village of Mihalkovo, located in Possestra locality in the Valley of Vacha River (Municipality of Devin) that was first found in 1936, as a mountain water stream, with distinctive taste and flavor of springing water. Back in the autumn of 1956, the first bottle of Mihalkovo water was manually filled in a small wooden shack. The new plant has been opened in 1970 and in 1990 the company was registered as a producer cooperative - 20 years later Mihalkovo AD - the joint stock company with 100% private capital, has been established. Annually it bottles and sells about 7 mills. liters of water or about 15 mills. packages. The execution of this project aims at the achievement of the basic goal of the company in the short term – increasing the bottling capacity and improving the basic technological operations of the production process – washing, bottling and stamping the ready bottles, labeling, automatic packaging in steaks and palletizing the ready products, by improving the preciseness and the productivity of these basic technological operations. To achieve this goal, the project includes activities for improving the production process as well as the resource effectiveness and efficiency of the through investment a new bottling line for spring (quiet) and carbonated water in PET bottles of 0,5 liters and 1,5 liters. These activities will provide for the increase of the production capacity of the enterprise to 12 000 bottles per hour for the 0,5 l. volumes and 8 000 bottles/per hour for the 1,5 l. bottles, enhancing the productivity of the entire process of bottling, labeling and palletizing of the ready production up to 39,72 % as a direct effect of the investment, as well as increasing the sales revenues from BGN 3 133 000 to BGN 4 321 800, which is a growth of 37,9 %.
