Improving production capacity in Down Creators AD

"Down Creators" AD is a specialized company in the processing of feathers and production of high quality and environmentally friendly down and feathers for use in clothing, pillows and blankets. The process consists in washing the feathers and down - in industrial washing machines, drying, separation and packaging. The heavier feathers are separated from the lighter down, which is the main product with significant added value. Manufacturing facilities are old /from the middle of the last century/ and insufficient . The project envisages expansion and optimization of production through production, delivery, installation and commissioning of a new production line for washing, sorting and homogenization of feathers and down from waterfowls, which will allow continuous processing of the raw material, without delays waiting for free capacity of the separators. Thus on the one hand will increase the production capacity / twice / and optimize the entire manufacturing process by synchronizing the speed in their various stages. This will eliminate the need for storage of the washed feathers waiting for free capacity in the separator for its treatment. The new line will be able to handle two types of incoming raw material, respectively: - crude (unwashed) and - a semifinished product (washed), which will require moistening, sorting, homogenisation and dusting. The project will allow the extraction of finished products with different ratio of down and feathers, depending on the requests of customers, including a high purity down : 95% / 5% feather, planned for export to Japan. This high purity down is the most important value of the new production line. Exports will continue to grow (double), increase resource efficiency: 16.7%, and productivity: 15.9% with IRR = 245.9% Project cost: 899 000 BGN, Without VAT. Program financing: 70% = 629 300 BGN Co-financing: 269 700 BGN or 137 895.42Euro
