Technological modernization for competitive production of ZGPU Grup Ltd.

ZGPU GRUP Ltd. is found in 2004 in Gabrovo for production of tooling, details, complicated machine units and goods with high precision level - encoders, sensors, toothed pulleys, precision connectors and etc. The company's production is characterized mainly as small and mid-sized series. The biggest part of the production belongs to the foreign markets - German, Austrian and Swiss companies are amongst the most prominent clients. The current project is focused on production process improvement, production costs optimization and enlarging the variety of produced goods and services. The main challenges facing the company are: subcontracting of important technological operations to external companies; long production period for 1 details due to performing consecutive operations on different machines; limited diameter of the processed details; quality control using multiple measuring tools. That leads to less effective production, limited production capacity, inability to fulfil bigger quantities orders, or new ones with pressing deadlines, more expensive end product, which directly results in finding and retaining clients and increasing the market positions of the company, respectively - increasing the income and specifically - the export. In order to overcome these identified challenges "ZGPU Grup" Ltd. needs to purchase CNC lathe-cutting centre - 1 pc., CNC lathe machine - 1 pc., laser marking machine - 1 pc. and a 3-coordinate measuring machine - 1 pc. The specified machines will contribute to decreasing the number of technological operations, which are done on various machines and will concentrate them in one single machine, thus improving the production process and increasing the range of the produced products. It will improve the production costs effectiveness with 16,49%, increase the production effectiveness with 21,11% and the export revenue with 28,43% for the period of the first 3 years after the project completion, compared to 2014.
