Improovement of the production capacity of Bulgarian Rose PLC

"Bulgarian Rose" was founded in 1948 in Karlovo, as a producer of essential oils - rose, lavender and peppermint. In 1997, the company was privatized and transformed into a joint stock company with main activity: production, purchasing, processing of oil-bearing and medicinal raw materials, production of natural and synthetic flavorings, perfume and cosmetics and medicinal products. In 2000 begins the manufacture of cosmetic products under the brand "Bulgarian Rose", which closes the technological cycle of production of raw materials for cosmetics to the finished products. The company has its own rose distillery, laboratory for product testing and development and production area for cosmetic products. The majority of the company's equipment is physically and morally outdated. Require frequent repairs, which lead to lower efficiency, increase costs of production and delayed orders. The company have implemented a number of international standards that require continuous improvement of processes and product quality. In this sense, to overcome technological limitations and to answer to the market challenges, the company has to renew and optimizes its production and non-production processes. The activities set out in the project proposal are related to the modernization of production technologies and processes, through the purchase and implementation of new equipment in the distillery, the laboratory for innovation and development, in the production plant for cosmetics and the warehouse for finished products. This will lead to increase in production capacity, optimization of processes, production costs and resources effectiveness, and shortening delivery deadlines. With more competitive products and more efficient production "Bulgarian Rose" JSC will be able to increase its market share and exports, hence the revenues and profitability of the company.
