Implementation of a highly technological process for applying photocathode coating and subsequent sealing of an image intensifier tube under high vacuum conditions in the company Optexim Ltd.

The scope of the project proposal is the investment in complex equipment (fixed tangible assets) for the implementation of a new highly technological process for applying photocathode coating and subsequent sealing of an image intensifier tube under high vacuum conditions. The equipment includes: • Installation for vacuum processing; • Containers for vacuum modules - 8 pcs.; • Movable control-measurement facility; • Spot welding equipment; The equipment will be delivered in a set with: fastening brackets for the modules, together with conveniences, devices, materials and components for ensuring the installation process and setting up the equipment. The beneficiary for the financial aid in the current procedure is the micro enterprise Optexim Ltd., and the place for realization of the project is the town of Strelcha. The production facility, where the equipment will be installed (total area 190 sq. m.) is located on the 1st floor of a building, which is a former elementary school. According to the mid-term strategy for development of Optexim Ltd., one of its major goals is to implement the production of a highly technological product - image intensifier tube (IIT). Currently, the company assembles the separate, bought by suppliers, parts on IIT (vacuum block, power supply and housing) to the finished product, so called assembly. Expected effects: launching a highly technological production; increasing the volumes of the production; reducing the production costs; raising the production quality; reducing the time necessary for customer orders execution; increasing total sales; creating new jobs; specializing in higher standards goods production. By purchasing the equipment, the following activities will be performed: • adding new characteristics and improving the products and services offered; • diversifying the production mix; • launching new technologies for improving the efficiency of resources and effectiveness of the production process.
