Improving the operational capacity and competitiveness of Software Company Ltd through investment in high-tech ICT – equipment and specialized software to enhance the efficiency of its products and services

With the help of this project proposal , the applicant Software Company Ltd ( SC) aims to achieve considerable improvement in its production capacity and competitiveness within its current main activity, namely production of computer technologies, development and implementation of electronic devices and software, including specialised software for medical digital imaging and business intelligence. For this reason, as part of the project we plan to complete the following activities: - improvement of production processes - addition of new product characteristics or the improvement of existing products and services - implementation of new technologies to increase the resource efficiency and effectiveness of the production process In order to achieve these goals, SC plans to purchase long term tangible and intangible assets such as high technology Information and Communication equipment including cloud technologies combined with the necessary software. These assets will be installed and will operate in the company’s facility in the city of Montana located in the North-west planning region of Bulgaria. This facility comprises of rented office and space at a data-centre which comply with the respective climatic and communication requirements. As a result of the project, two new positions will be opened in this facility for two Client and Technical Support specialists. Hence, SC expects to significantly improve the efficiency and competitiveness of its products and services and to achieve the following results: -increased labor productivity with 19,31%; - increased export potential and relative share of export income with 26,81% - increased efficiency of its production expenses with 22,75% - very good Internal Rate of Return of the investment project equal to 83,69% which illustrates the low risk character of the project.
