INNOV-AYA- CAPACITY FOR GROWTH

Needs: AYA Ltd is a small enterprise producing agriculture machinery (NCEA 28.30) and machinery for pellets production(NCEA 28.99) . The market demand for the products of AYA Ltd indicates growth on both the domestic and the international market. The enterprise fails to meet the market demand due to lack of production capacity. The development restrictions are determined by the use of outdated production technologies. The productivity is low, the old equipment requires longer set-up time and generates large amounts of waste , the produced elements have large deviations from the parameters initially set. Large amount of the production processes are manual. The enterprise does not have a specialized drawing software and the design and the technical specifications are being made all by hand. Target groups: The project proposal falls within the thematic area of mechatronics and clean technologies, part of the Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization 2014-2020. Objectives of the project proposal: Improvement of the production capacity and enhancement of the export potential of Aya Ltd. The main activities are aimed at: 1. The improvement of the production processes through investments in tangible and intangible assets aiming the enhancement of the capacity of an existing business unit 2. Implementation of new technologies for the improvement of the resource efficiency and effectiveness of the of the production processes in an existing business unit - delivery of a specialized software and hardware, machines with CNC Expected results: increased productivity through which the enterprise will satisfy the individual orders for agricultural machines and can start serial production ; increased export profits; increased cost effectiveness; improved resource efficiency and effectiveness
